Pastor Kevin Caldwell
Pastor Kevin grew up in Taylor, MI. He was saved at age 12 and grew up in a Christian home with four older brothers. Kevin attended Baptist Park Schools for much of his early education and felt called to serve as a law enforcement officer after graduation. Pastor Kevin served as a Wayne County Deputy Sheriff prior to joining the Michigan State Police where he was assigned to the Jackson Post.
In 2009, while concurrently serving as a Michigan State Trooper at the Jackson Post, Pastor Kevin joined the U.S. Army Reserves and commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army’s Chaplain Corps. After graduating from Initial Military Training and Basic Officers Leadership Course, Pastor Kevin served as a US Army Chaplain for infantry, military police, aviation, logistics, and transportation soldiers. Pastor Kevin served at the company, battalion, and brigade level in his career before recently moving into the Inactive Ready Reserve. Pastor Kevin served on active duty at many different locations and was responsible for the spiritual care of 1,500 soldiers while achieving the rank of captain.
Serving the Jackson area for much of his law enforcement career, Pastor Kevin served concurrently in local church leadership roles while serving in law enforcement. Pastor Kevin retired from his law enforcement career achieving the rank of First Lieutenant - Post Commander.
Pastor Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University, Master of Biblical Studies, Master of Ministry, and Master of Divinity from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary with Theology and language studies through Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Kevin recently completed his Doctorate in Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Kevin is committed to responsible expository Bible teaching, the discipleship of the church, and reaching the ends of the earth for the cause of Christ.
